Cordova Drapway Park
This past Saturday I attended the 53rd annual World Series of Drag Racing at Cordova Drag Park in Cordova, IL. While I was there I had an awesome time even with the rain that we received pre-race. It stopped raining in time for the races so I broke out the digital camera and took some video and pictures of the event. Sorry about the lousy titles but its kind of hard to remember everything with little to no sleep. You can view the video from the event here and the pictures are available in the gallery.
Enjoy!

Finally Something New
I’ve been busy over the last few weeks working on moving my site to a new server. It’s now hosted at DreamHost so it should be a lot faster. In addition to the move of servers I am now able to make my photo gallery public, if you would like to see any of the photos I’ve taken click on the Gallery link on the left hand side of this page.
If you’ve been following Online Grades you will also notice it has a new website and updated look. With the move of servers for my site I was also able to move the Online Grades site, www.onlinegrades.org, to DreamHost. With the move I was also able to get the demo working again after quite some time of having an outdated demo.
If you encounter any problems with the sites please let me know.

Printable Pages
I've been rather busy lately and haven't had the chance to post anything new. If you want to take a look at what stories I'm reading, look up, and see what I have dugg. While I have a few minutes I'm going to rant and rave about printing web pages.
Currently I'm working on the next version of WiltonIowa.org with a brand new community section. The community news portion of the site will be semi-AJAX powered. I know its kind of overrated but why not. I hope to have it on the production server by the end of March, stay tuned for updates.
Right now I am working on a printable version of the articles. Printable versions of anything pose a challenge as there are a lot of things you need to make sure are right. I'm going to cover a few of them right now.
-- Make sure it looks good on paper, I know this may sound obvious but hey. (Head on over to WiltonIowa.org and click print preview in your web browser, it doesn't even look the same, see what I mean.)
-- Should you change all of your links into something else? When someone prints a page with links on it what do they get?
BAD:
Normal View -- Some Link Here
Print View -- Some Link Here
GOOD:
Normal View -- Some Link Here
Print View -- Some Link Here[1]
[1] http://www.site_url.tld/some_link_here.html
Now when the user prints the article they will know what the links really are, and not just the underlined words "Some Link Here".
-- Should we include our sites logo? I think this one is more of a personal choice than a requirement, but helpful never the less.
-- If your site has ads should you include them? NO! It looks bad and wastes paper, have a heart folks, kill the ads on the printable pages.
-- Make sure to include the author, article title, date published, and original url of the article.
If you have any feedback or suggestions I would love to hear them.

RADIUS/WPA/CISCO
UPDATE: I have it working now, we need an SSL Cert.
I have already put too much time into this, but I refuse to give up until I make this work.If you have any tips on setting up WPA using RADIUS on a Cisco 1200 series access point, please share them in our Forums. We have a Windows Server 2003 that has RADIUS installed on it we would like to authenticate our wireless clients via that (WPA) on a Cisco 1200 series access point. Now I have the access point setup and secured using WPA, but the problem is I cannot authenticate!I will continue to work on this until it works, but in the mean time if you have anything that might help please post it in the forums, registration not required but welcome!
Thanks,Beau Huber

It's News Time
Today In History: Dolly was the world’s first cloned mammal, created in 1996 by researchers at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland. The technique used to manufacture Dolly worked like this: a cell nucleus was removed from an udder cell of an adult sheep. That nucleus, carrying the adult sheep’s genetic material, was inserted into a sheep egg cell that had its own nucleus removed. That egg cell developed into an embryo that eventually became a sheep genetically identical (essentially) to the original adult sheep. This method was tried hundreds of times before the scientists succeeded in creating a successful pregnancy. When Dolly was almost eight months old, her existence was revealed to the press, and newspapers carried the story the next day, on February 24, 1997.
